About Factory Data Systems

Manufacturing data problems are rarely about the data itself. They're about the gap between what the process is doing and what the people responsible for it can see, access, and act on. Closing that gap — at the control system level, the database level, and the reporting level — is what Factory Data Systems was built to do.

We work with manufacturers who need more than a generic platform. Plants with custom traceability requirements, complex PLC environments, attribute-level data capture needs, or integration challenges that off-the-shelf tools don't address well. Our work spans the full range from plant-floor control systems to enterprise data infrastructure — and we design solutions around the way a plant actually works, not around a product's default configuration.

What We Do

Plant-Floor Integration. We work at the control system level — PLC communication, SCADA configuration, middleware deployment, and real-time data collection. Event Engine, our manufacturing middleware, connects PLCs and automation systems to databases and enterprise platforms with a modern architecture built for the speed and reliability production environments require.

Manufacturing Execution and Traceability. IntelliTrack, our manufacturing execution and track-and-trace platform, captures a structured, attribute-level production record — per product, per operation, per event — and connects it to the recipe, the process, the material, and the quality outcome. It is designed for manufacturers who need more than a historian and more than a generic MES.

Reporting and Data Management. We design and build operational reporting solutions, OEE analysis, KPI dashboards, and data management architectures — organized around the questions engineering and operations teams actually need to answer, and managed with a clear lifecycle from collection through retention and archival.

Custom Data Applications. When standard tools don't fit the problem, we build. Database design, integration architecture, custom web applications, and plant-floor data systems tailored to specific production environments and business requirements.

Our Background

Factory Data Systems was founded on more than two decades of hands-on experience integrating PLCs, SCADA systems, historians, MES platforms, and enterprise-level database systems in real manufacturing environments. That background shapes how we approach every engagement — starting from the plant floor and working up, rather than fitting a production process into a platform that wasn't designed for it.
